Cottage Ratings

Orford Riverside Cottages were rated "Five Star" by RACT in 2000. Since then we have built two new cottages to the same high standards.

When the "Captain's Cottage" was first inspected, the inspector wrote "this is the highest primary score I have given any accommodation in Tasmania".

Subsequently, the Automobile Clubs have combined their accomodation ratings business under the "AAA" banner, based in Sydney, and have changed the qualifications for "Five Star".

We have withdrawn from the "AAA" rating system and no longer pay their fees to be rated.

We continue to provide the same quality of accommodation, value for money and extra services we always have. We know you will be hard pressed to find our equal anywhere for the tariff we ask.

The ultimate tests for us are our guests' comments, please view our testimonials as they demonstrate what we believe: that we do provide the best quality of accommodation available.

We self rate our cottages at "Five Diamonds".

The "Five Star" rating is the trademark of "AAA" - there is no intention in this website to suggest our cottages are rated with "AAA" criteria. We are not members of "AAA" and we do not pay their fees to be rated by them.
